An intriguing problem which has presented itself during the work has been the deciphering of a number of different secret codes in which several of the works were written. Happily they are nothing more complicated than new alphabets, which were composed by the sectarians to keep certain works especially secret, and in one case they contrive to write most, but not all, of the words backwards, and use a mixture of four or five alphabets, including one or two of their own invention.
